- Rupert de Worde - died for his beliefs in the war against Klatch. Chief among them was the very
Hugglestonian one that bravery could replace armour, and that Klatchians would turn and run if you
shouted loud enough. (pg 27)
- Goodmountain's Grandmother - she died (pg 184)
- Old Mr Hardy - decided to light a cigar and forgot he was bathing his feet in turpentine (pg 194)
- a high priest - scragged by Mr Pin & Mr Tulip for trying to double-cross Frank 'Nutboy' Nabbs (pg 219)
Might have died
- a banker - that stuff with the wire netting and the crabs and that -ing banker (pg 57)
- a thief - tried to rob Mr Pin & Mr Tulip (pg 141)
- a priest - hit over the head by Mr Tulip (pg 177)
Death toll?
- Mr Cheese only smiled when he heard news of some serious murder, some of the murder descriptions were quite
funny. (pg 20-21)
- The job of looking after the large vivarium was given to first-year students, on the basis that if they got
things wrong there wouldn't be much education wasted. (pg 23)
- The proud and noble traditions of the de Wordes that mostly involved unpleasant deaths, preferably of foreigners
but also some de Wordes. (pg 27)
- Kings who died - someone climbed up inside a privy with a red hot poker, a king drowned in a butt of wine(pg 54)
The contract in Quirm. It's not unlikely a contract involving Mr Pin & Mr Tulip involved at least one death (pg 57)
The thing with the puppies and that kid. Again no idea of the exact details but I'm once more suspecting a fatality
or two. (pg 57)
- Mr Pin & Mr Tulip would torch places, tying people to beds. (pg 61)
- Mr Pin & Mr Tulip were wanted dead or alive in Mouldavia. It's a fair bet that there was a death involved
somewhere (pg 218)
- Mr Pin's enemies - they're all dead (pg 219)
- all them -ing murders perpetrated by Mr Pin & Mr Tulip. This should include those not referred to in more detail
above. (pg 244)
