The Lady

"Just the Lady, right? Nothing else."

She is the Lady, coming only when not called for, the oldest enemy of Fate. The Lady has a soft spot for those truely doomed, and for the failed wiz(z)ard Rincewind in particular. Not particularly cruel, not particularly kind, the Lady is unpredictable and unavoidable. She's not out to get you... you're going to wander into her on your own, eventually.

The Lady toys good-naturedly with reality in all the books, no doubt, but does so particularly in:

The Colour of Magic.

Interesting Times.

The Last Hero.
