From: Ben Chalmers <Ben@bench.demon.co.uk> Newsgroups: alt.fan.pratchett Subject: Covent Garden Mini-meet Date: Sat, 30 Sep 95 16:44:54 +0100 Message-ID: <703e555946@bench.demon.co.uk> Following the success of Clarecraft 95 various discussions about improving the AFP-meet operating system were held. The general consensus that Clarecraft is too resource hungry for the average meet holder meant an experimental version of the AFP micro-kernel was tried. This kernel has many advantages, requiring only 2 AFP contributors and 2 bottles of Australian lager, but still suffers from many bugs (including the notable lack of Alex). It is hoped these will be cleared up by the new version of Ealing due next week. While Mark Bestford will be providing a full set of Minutes tomorrow, I would like to mention how, on my arrival he immediately concluded that, due to my university scarf, I was a student. Worryingly I was wearing my CMOT enterprises UU scarf 8) ttfn Ben -- Name :Ben Chalmers.
