Thanks! From: Carol <carol@wibble.org> Newsgroups: alt.fan.pratchett Subject: [F] Mini-meet at the Science Museum. Date: Fri, 03 Jul 1998 13:25:14 +0100 Message-ID: <359CCDAA.57B6@wibble.org> Since the meet is tomorrow (July 4th) I suppose I ought to give a few more details... The aim is to get to the museum for about 2pm, this should at least give us plenty of time to play in Launchpad and see a few other exhibits :-) Afterwards we can go for a drink/something to eat if people like. All the information you could ever want to know about the museum is available from http://www.nmsi.ac.uk/Welcome.html Other random bits of information that may or may not be relevant: The 4th of July is also Pride day so you may find navigating central London is a bit harder than usual cos there will be around 3000 Queens making the most of their big day out - however there isn't the usual festival this time so it shouldn't be too difficult to get around. (The March starts from Hyde park at 11am and follows the usual route finishing in Victoria) Course, if you're feeling all sad and forlorn cos you wanted to go to the festival you could try visiting Ipswich on the 5th since we have 'Music in the Park' day which is completely free and usually features lots of good local talent. There are stages for various sorts of music (folk/jazz/blues/rock/disco/classical/etc) and other entertainments too. Carol -- Carol Willis http://www.afawcett.demon.co.uk/carol/
