A bit of background for afpers: in rmf, there has been a spate of Ragnarok filks, culminating in the one by Kevin "Baldur's Lament." This old mole got a-thinkin'. And as BGII is something many of us in both groups are interested in, and as I'm a bit cheesed off with Throne of Bhaal, the following instafilk pulsed slobberingly into view.

I grew up a foundling in Candlekeep's hall,
And was raised by a Harper since I was this small...
But now here I'm lying, with gold in great store
And I'll never see dawn in Athkatla no more.

And it's no, nay, never
No nay never no more
Will I battle beholders,
No never, no more.

I went to the Coronet - beds there were rough,
So I dreamt about monsters and wizards and stuff...
I killed a Red Dragon with Minsc by my side,
"Butt kicking for goodness!" the mad Ranger cried...

And it's no, nay, never
No nay never no more
Will I battle beholders,
No never, no more.

A gnome sold me turnips in the graveyard one night,
But just as he joined me, we saw a strange sight;
A blue-skinned bloodsucker took shape from the mists,
And Aerie just fainted as the fell creature hissed ...

And it's no, nay, never
No nay never no more
Will I battle beholders,
No never, no more.

The vampire, she touched me, and I ebbed away,
Never more would this Bhaalspawn venture forth in the day -
For it was three days later I rose from the dead,
Now I thirst for your blood, as it flows warm and red...

And it's no, nay, never,
No nay never, no more,
Will I battle beholders,
No nay never, no more.

And it's no, nay, never,
No nay never, no more,
Will I battle beholders,
No nay never, no more.
