For immediate release: Delft 1.0 organizers announced that there will be a pre-release of this long-awaited event, due to popular demand[0]. The release will be called Delft 0.999 beta 1265, and it is scheduled for release on May 24, 1997. It will feature pratchettesque entertainment, alcohol, and a user-definable stack of chocolate (although the implementation of CCCB is a little unsteady at the moment as elements of the stack tend to disappear at random intervals). Since the release date of v0.999 beta 1265 is one month prior to the release of the actual product, the management thinks it worthwile to produce two separate events. TDM, co-developer of the project and sales marketing manager[1], announced that, as a special introductory offer, afp'ers to turn up would receive a free drink of their liking [2]. Please note that the developers cannot be held responsible for any alcoholic contamination and/or possible disastrous consequences of this limited time offer. The presentation of this fantastic product will be held in Locus Publicus[3], and entry if free for all. More information will soon be released. - --- end of message. 0] I can't make Delft 1.0. 1] What's in a name, anyway? 2] But I draw the line at tankers of beer. Tankards, ok. Tankers, no. 3] Jos' idea, I'm afraid. I don't know the exact location of Locus Publicus, myself. ;-) Expect further information in the near future. +____ * . \ / .
