JINGOJINGO was a standard variant game started on an invitation-only basis. It was started on this basis during a time on afpdip when there were few game starts and was begun for the reason of letting some people play who had been GMs more than players. JINGO received its name in the hope that the game end would coincide with the publication of Terry Pratchett's book of the same name. JINGO was won by John Fouhy, playing as Germany, just after F1921M with a total of 18 Supply Centres. The other survivors were Jake Aard with 11 SCs and Murky with 5 SCs. Also involved were Piers Forrest, who was eliminated in 1911, Mike Smith, who was eliminated in 1913, Bjorn Bjornsson, who was eliminated in 1914, and Hippie who was eliminated in the last move of the game. In real time, JINGO took 1 year, two months. The game was mastered by Alexander Kamilewicz. The final standings are as follows: Austria-Hungary: 9 Units, 11 Supply Centres England: 0 Units, 0 Supply Centres France: 0 Units, 0 Supply Centres Germany: 16 Units, 18 Supply Centres Italy: 6 Units, 5 Supply Centres Russia: 0 Units, 0 Supply Centres Turkey: 0 Units, 0 Supply Centres |
