Suzi sent the following to Piers:
Piers,
Mikey seems to be being totally uncooperative at the
moment - he doesn't answer my emails and does things which are
contrary to my suggestions without letting me know first (despite
giving him every opportunity to come up with alternatives which I would
happily have agreed to!!). I can only assume that he has decided he can
'hold us to ransom' while attempting to get into a position
where he can gain more strength (ie. if we attack he threatens to hand
provinces over to Germany). Can *you* see if you can get a satisfactory
explanation/response from him as to his intentions, as I am being
ignored? He may feel more able to talk to you.
If we do not get a satisfactory answer then I think we
need to start weighing up whether a strategic strike to try and get as
many of his provinces as possible is in order - this is risky, but with
careful planning I think we could do this without letting Hippie gain
the required 8 SCs (having looked at the map in detail, we would be
able to gain 2 or 3 of Mike's SCs this Autumn alone - 1 for you and
1 or 2 for me)... I am beginning to get very frustrated by Mikey, and
trying for the 3-way draw (myself, yourself and Hippie) is beginning to
look more and more appealing. At least it would mean we know what
movements are going to be made by the German-opposition!
What do you think?... Have I gone totally loco?...
Should we just bide a bit longer?... You have the weekend to think
about this as I am away until Sunday evening...
Suzi
She later said:
I have heard nothing from either Mikey or
Piers... I will continue to attempt to get something from at least one
of them!! (but if nothing here by 6pm I'll make a whole bunch of
assumptions and send something anyway)

How does that seem for a starter?
I haven't yet projected this forward to the Autumn
movement... but I am well set up to convoy additional armies from egypt
to france/spain, and it should give us and additional army for you
ready to move some across the centre for support.
Any other suggestions?

The following table summarises the changing situation, detailing the
number of units currently owned, the number of SC's and the number
of available adjustments, after the number of free SCs has
been considered. A positive adjust number means that builds are due, a
negative number means that units are to be removed. Note, builds do not
have to be taken, they can be waived - please send a waive order to the
GM if you wish to do this.
Also detailed are the number of SC's required to win (the win
condition is 33 SC's).

It should be noted at this point that another draw proposal was put on
the table. Everyone, had voted yes, EXCEPT for one player, who at the
time of writing has not voted, though in the past they have voted
yes.... Hippie (Germany) wrote:
Could you extend the deadline for the draw and
spring moves in Perdita as I'm still in the process of trying to
convince Suzi that she doesn't have to be nice to Mikey (it's not
like anybody else ever is ;-) )
Little does Hippie know that Suzi is trying to convince Piers of the
same thing....
A few days later, Hippie wrote:
Well despite the fact that Suzi is poorly and
despite the many ways I've tried to persuade her to kill Mikey AND
despite the fact that she said she would consider it.I have come to the
conclusion that her heart is set. I therefore, most sadly accept a 4
way draw.
As it turned out, the draw vote failed. At this point everyone in
the game had voted yes to a draw proposal at some point.
Hippie commented:
Well the game continues (good old Suzi).
Looks like my mail bomb of witty emails hit the mark....I knew she was
a sucker for good jokes and funny email.
Do you realise we have reached the 1 year mark
now....good grief!!
This is quite full of irony, as Suzi actually voted for the
draw. (Suzi's vote revealed with permission of Suzi)
